The CyberSuite Hackathon 2025 is a unique event that brings together cybersecurity professionals, SMEs, developers, students, and innovators for a collaborative, hands-on experience. Unlike traditional hackathons, this event is not a competition but a co-creation space where participants test, validate, and refine cybersecurity tools developed under the CyberSuite project.
At the heart of the hackathon are the CyberSuite tools, designed to help SMEs across critical sectors such as energy, transport, health, and agrifood strengthen their digital resilience. These tools address real challenges including protecting IoT data, securing web applications and SaaS platforms, improving compliance with regulations such as GDPR, and building robust monitoring and response capabilities.
Throughout the hackathon, participants will dive into testing scenarios that reflect real-world cybersecurity challenges. They will experiment with tools like advanced anomaly detection systems, static code analysis platforms, blockchain-based threat intelligence, and awareness-raising applications such as phishing prevention games. Each participant will have the chance to provide structured feedback, identifying strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for improvement. In this way, attendees will directly influence the refinement of European cybersecurity solutions.
The hackathon is also a chance to learn and grow professionally. By engaging with practical use cases and interacting with mentors, participants will gain hands-on experience in DevSecOps practices, risk management, tool evaluation, and secure development. In addition, they will have the opportunity to connect with peers across Europe, exchanging perspectives and building valuable professional networks.
All participants will receive a Certificate of Participation acknowledging their contribution to the CyberSuite project and its broader mission of supporting SMEs in cybersecurity. Outstanding contributions may also be highlighted through project communication channels and future collaboration opportunities.
